Millions of Dollars

Do you get those emails that say that someone is holding all these millions of dollars for you in Nigeria or the UK? Then they want you to send them some outrageous amount of money so you can collect. But, and yes there is a but, you have to send them all kinds of identifying information about yourself. Like I don't know it is a phishing expedition for identity theft. If they really have all of these millions, take all the fees out then send me what's left. They don't need my marital status, birthdate, social to mail me the money. The same thing with these so called internet lotteries that allegedly come from the UK. They don't need all of that information to mail me my millions, take the fees out and send the rest to my po box. Sheesh. The sad thing is I am sure people fall for this everyday.

Then they have the scams that say they are from PayPal stating something is wrong with your account and they want to know some info about you. I actually almost fell for this one, until my daughter pointed out PayPal would never send anything out from that address.

So watch out people, there are a lot of scams coming through your emails and they are just trying to find out information about your identity. I tell you what though if they found out the truth about me, that I am dirt poor and may be homeless again in about three or four weeks they would think twice about obtaining my information.

It's freezing

The rain has started up again. It is supposed to rain again this weekend. If it rains we can't have our yard sale. I guess I should start calling it could be moving sale or living in the car again sale.

Interviews

I finally got an interview and went out there this morning. Nearly 2000 applicants to flip burgers and some looked like they had been executives. May be sleeping in the car next month is something doesn't happen soon.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I pray the Lord will open the door to employment for me soon. We really like our tiny cottage. It is dark now and I had to take the dogs out in the yard. We do not have any lights out in the yard on the outside of the cottage so we have to take flashlights out there so they can see. When we walk out the back door the first thing we see when we look up is the moon, then when there is no cloud cover we can see stars. Yes, we can acually see stars where we are living, this is really nice. So I truly pray the Lord opens the door to employment for me so we can stay here.

Shame, Shame, Shame

That's right--shame, shame, shame. Our segment on MTV was shown on Sunday. One jerk emailed Katy and said "We DESERVE to be homeless." Yes, that is a direct quote, "WE DESERVE TO BE HOMELESS." That is the most dispicable, horrible thing to tell a 17 year old girl who is already worried about what will happen to us two months from now, as I am. My daughter was extremely upset. I told her forward all emails to me, do not read them.
No one and I mean NO ONE deserves to be homeless. In this great country of ours it is extremely shameful that people are homeless and are going hungry. It was on the news last night about how people are hungry because for one reason or another they will not seek out help. I can tell you why. Because of the anti-illegal immigration people have to have leases and a PGE bill to acquire food. Now, no where, and I do Mean NO WHERE in the Bible, God's Word, have I read that JESUS REQUIRED a lease and a PGE bill before He fed people or for people to help others. Then there are the people who fall through the cracks, they are the ones who have "too much for one kind of help and not enough money for something else". A lot of people would rather open their mouth and discount this and say it is not true. They are the ones who have never had to ask for help. To ask for any kind of help is humiliating enough, then when people treat the person who asks like pure pond scum is even wors.

De Ja Vu

Time is running out fast. Still need job. Cannot get to any job fairs because of no gas or bus fair. Katy goes with me and fills out apps. too. Do not want to be sleeping in the car again in a month or so.

Just an update sort of.

Hello everyone. Just a short update. Still desparately looking for employment. We have started having yard sales every Saturday to earn extra for some food. I am now sewing by hand totebags that I designed to sell for a buck to sell at the yard sales. They do work, Katy and I both use them. I made two pink ones today, one cotton and one out of satin. I am going to start a blue cotton one tomorrow.
